People that know me call me "KayKay". You can call me KayKay too.
I am 2 years old. I'm pretty little, but I already have a big story to tell. Part of it is scary and part of it is sad. But I know everything will be happy again soon.
On Friday, October 29, I was asleep in my bed when my Mommy's friend came in and poured scalding hot water on me. Mommy called Daddy and he came and took me away to the hospital where they said I have 2nd & 3rd degree burns on my face, neck, and shoulders. Some of my pretty curls are gone.
I am at a Shriner's Hospital far away right now. They take special care of kids. They are taking good care of me. Daddy made sure of that. I don't know why that man did this to me. I know it hurt real bad and I just want to be with my Daddy. The people here are nice . . . but I want to be with my family. It's kinda scary here without them.
My Daddy is name Tommy and he works at Berry Plastics. Daddy has to take off work to come visit me. He is also going to court so I can come and live with him all the time and be safe. It costs a lot of money to drive far away to the hospital AND to go to court.
